Castaway Studios was founded in 2023 in Istanbul — not in a boardroom, but during a late-night call between two friends who shared a belief: mobile games deserved better. Not just more content, but more care, more depth, and design made for the device — not just on it. We didn't want to follow trends. We wanted to define what mobile-native gameplay should feel like: fast, fluid, intuitive, and emotionally rewarding. What began as a small project quickly became a shared obsession — creating vertical RPGs designed from the ground up for how people actually play.

By 2024, we had launched two titles, tested multiple prototypes, and sharpened our design philosophy. We embraced mobile as a creative advantage — focusing on one-hand controls, vertical orientation, and feedback that respects players' time and attention.

In 2025, Castaway Studios expanded globally. We set up production in Toronto and began development on our most ambitious title yet — a vertical action-RPG built from scratch to bring console-level clarity, depth, and replayability to mobile. Our lean, international team — spanning Turkey, Canada, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan — now works across borders to push the boundaries of mobile-native play.
